January 2021

Birmingham City University

Having initially qualified as a tutor within Further Education in 2006, I decided to update and undertake a Diploma in Education & Training. I specialise in delivering Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, Business and Employabilty. 

 

June 2014

June 2007

The Open University

Matthew Boulton College

Following many years' within the polymer processing industries I was now a sole trader and teaching Level 2 Business. I attended university part time for five years to achieve my Diploma in Management & Leadership

 

I became a qualified Further Education tutor following a two year programme

June 2004

Telford College

My first assignment as a trainee Assessor, I was based at Ricoh training staff manufacturing printer parts where I qualified as an Assessor gaining Unit A1

 

June 1990

DeHavilland College

This is where I started out - a five year apprenticeship leading to: 

HNC Mechanical Engineering

I have a passion for teaching and sharing my knowledge with others in the field of Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing. With years of experience under my belt, I have the skills and expertise to help aspiring engineers master the skills necessary to succeed in industry. I tailor lessons to ensure that each of my students fully understands the concepts and techniques required to operate complex machinery such as lathes and milling machines, pass their course and seek an apprenticeship. This passion extends to helping long-term unemployed adults to find work. Empathy is key to overcoming barriers to employment and identifying sustainable job roles to improve their lives.
